Angelica Fuentes Leads Panel Discussion at Equities Women’s Council Roundtable

Dynamic discussion between entrepreneurial female leaders making an impact in the lives of many women globally

NEW YORK, NY–(Oct 19, 2016) –  Angelica Fuentes Foundation (FAF), a private institution committed to the overall empowerment of women of all ages through the strengthening and financing of organizations that support women’s advancement, today announced its Founder Angelica Fuentes led a social impact panel discussion at the Equities Women’s Council Roundtable on Tuesday, October 18. At the event women discussed issues ranging from gendered equality initiatives to women empowerment ideas.

The Equities Women’s Council is a community for entrepreneurial women in the emerging growth, start up, venture capital and corporate professional roles across industry sectors. The goal of the Council is to celebrate women and exchange ideas with other successful female leaders focused on innovation and disruption.

The main topics addressed included the progress of women participation and inclusion in the labor force around the globe, salary inequality based on gender and also the benefits for the economy and society in general of an equal participation of men and women in the private and public sector, as measured by a resulting total increase in global GDP of up to 18% according to a McKenzie research on the opportunities of worldwide gender equality.

Angelica Fuentes, Founder of the Angelica Fuentes Foundation commented, “It was an honor to attend the event and I hope my contribution was helpful and insightful to the Equities Women’s Council, and their gender equality agendas. Spaces where we can put the spotlight on both the aspects in which there has been little progress in advancing a gender equality agenda, such as the poor results over the last decade in closing the salary gap or increasing women’s participation in politics, along with detailing and explaining the benefits for society in general of a more even world for all, are fundamental in setting an agenda for achieving higher process and benchmarking that which has been made. I look forward to participating in future events to increase our common efforts and contribute to further this fundamental agenda.”

About Angelica Fuentes Foundation
Angelica Fuentes Foundation believes that women empowerment and gender equality are some of the most efficient tools for social, economic and environmental development. They envision a world in which women and men cooperate and work together in a context of equanimity and equality of opportunities, where women are able to fully participate in all the areas of human endeavor, for their personal wellbeing as well as that of the communities they live in.

Angelica Fuentes Foundation’s goal is to promote and encourage gender equality and women empowerment in Latin America as one of the most efficient tools for economic, social and environmental development in the region. To achieve this goal, they work with a model that seeks to accurately measure the impact they can have in communities and countries where they have a direct or indirect presence, through their programs, their network of organizations or those for which they provide financial support and consulting.

The measurement carried out by the Foundation seeks to define comparative criteria to evaluate the economic participation of men and women, access to education and professional development, as well as pay equity by gender. Likewise, these measurements also allow monitoring the direct impact these rights have on other externalities such as teenage pregnancy, gender violence and access to justice, as well as the well-being and progress of the community in general.

The Study on “Integrating Violence Prevention and Women Economics Participation – Mexico” is Now Available – Angelica Fuentes Foundation

Angelica Fuentes Foundation Partners with Georgetown University to produce First Economic Violence Against Women Study

NEW YORK, NY–(Oct 18, 2016) – Angélica Fuentes Foundation (FAF), a private institution committed to the overall empowerment of women of all ages through the strengthening and financing of organizations that support women’s advancement, announced today their partnership and collaboration Georgetown University and the Institute for Women, Peace and Security has successfully produced the first study on Integrating Violence Prevention and Women Economics Participation – centered gender equality condition in Mexico.

The unveiling of the study took place in Washington DC where the Director of the Georgetown’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security, Ambassador Melanne Verveer, and Angelica Fuentes, participated in a round table event to present the paper along with its results, conclusions and suggestions for the Mexico case. Primarily, the study highlights economic violence against women as the second most common type of gender based violence in the country, second to psychological abuse of women.

Angelica Fuentes, Founder of the Angelica Fuentes Foundation commented, “The study marks a huge milestone in understanding this baseline, and it’s the first of its kind to directly address the link between women economic empowerment and violence against women. Although there is much research yet to be done, this initial study already accomplishes a set of specific recommendations for organizations and individuals working on promoting gender equality, particularly in the joining of efforts at an institutional level to bring together women economic empowerment programs and those directly addressing violence against women and girls. I’m confident that this newly proposed approach, and all future research we conduct in this area, will help us improve the results and practices around an issue that affects in various cases more than half of the women in the hemisphere.”

About Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN Summit — officially came into force. Over the next fifteen years, with these new Goals that universally apply to all, countries will mobilize efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.

The SDGs build on the success of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and aim to go further to end all forms of poverty. The new Goals are unique in that they call for action by all countries, poor, rich and middle-income to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and addresses a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

While the SDGs are not legally binding, governments are expected to take ownership and establish national frameworks for the achievement of the 17 Goals. Countries have the primary responsibility for follow-up and review of the progress made in implementing the Goals, which will require quality, accessible and timely data collection. Regional follow-up and review will be based on national-level analyses and contribute to follow-up and review at the global level.

Inventi, Inc. Develops Safest Battery Charging System that Solves Smart Phone Combustion Issues – Patented Method Is Latest Hardware Smart Solution

Rash of battery fires and explosions underscores need for better recharging solution

IRVINE, CA–(Oct 17, 2016) –  Inventi™, a pioneer of innovative technologies that address the world’s energy challenges, announces the launch of its newest “hardware smart” solution: Thor™ Hyperflow™ Technology. Hyperflow™ Technology is a fundamentally different method for charging lithium-ion (li-ion) batteries. It eliminates the serious safety concerns swirling around rechargeable batteries in smartphones and other devices. And because Hyperflow™ Technology also enables faster and more efficient charging than ever before, significant leaps forward in battery energy density will now be possible.

“Overcoming electrical resistance is the key to the future’s high energy demands,” says Richard Dellacona, physicist and inventor of Thor™ Hyperflow™ Technology. “Our solution charges batteries with effectively zero resistance. That means OEMs can make batteries with even higher energy density, without worrying about whether the charging process is efficient or safe. And now that we have all the patents on the technology, we’re eager to share this technology with the world.”

Battery fires and explosions have been plastered all over the news recently, but it’s not fair to single out one product or company. The safety issue is fundamental to modern rechargeable batteries. Today, batteries are typically charged using a “brute force” method in which electrons are shoved into place. This creates lots of electrical resistance as electrons rebound and are pushed back repeatedly.

Electrical resistance means slower, less efficient charging and, more importantly, heat. This heat byproduct can ignite the electrolytic fluid in the battery directly; or, it can gradually weaken the separator that prevents energy from passing from one pole to the other – which may also result in a fire. When that separator is compromised, the battery can explode at any time, not just when being charged. For these reasons, li-ion batteries, or the devices they power, have software to throttle the flow of particles and limit heat buildup.

Thor™ Hyperflow™ Technology is a radically different method that takes electrical resistance and heat out of the equation. The technology relies on magnetics rather than electronics to move electrons into place, automatically sensing and filling available spaces with the battery’s atomic structure. Fire and explosion danger is virtually nonexistent. As Dellacona explains, this technology enables batteries to be charged as fast as physically possible. There’s no longer any need to regulate the process with circuitry and software which can be compromised.

“Hyperflow™ Technology will eliminate the safety concerns associated with li-ion batteries today,” says Inventi™ CEO and Founder Gary Davi, “and clear the way for a new era of innovation. It’s no exaggeration to say that batteries will power the future. From electric vehicles to alternative, distributed energy grids, the rechargeable battery industry is poised to become even larger than it is now. We envision Hyperflow™ Technology being a major catalyst for that growth.”

The Hyperflow™ Technology method of passively charging batteries works with any battery chemistry being used today, as well as any chemistry that might be engineered in the future. Therefore, as batteries become increasingly energy dense, Hyperflow™ Technology will ensure safety and efficiency will never be a roadblock to innovation.

About Inventi™

Founded in 2015, Inventi™ is the developer of “hardware smart” innovations for the consumer electronics, high-tech, energy and utility industries. The company’s first year of operation has seen the release of Veactor™ xPath™ Technology and Thor™ Hyperflow™ Technology. These technologies address significant problems with power transmission/conversion and battery charging, respectively.

BioSculpture Technology Inc. to Focus Research and Development Efforts to Rollout Endoscopic Visceral Lipectomy (“EVL”) to Address the $2T Yearly Obesity-Related Disease Market

EVL (Endoscopic Visceral Lipectomy) Has the Potential of Doing to Obesity Treatment What LASIK Did for Vision Correction

WEST PALM BEACH, FL–(Oct 11, 2016) – BioSculpture Technology, Inc., a commercial stage medical device manufacturer of liposuction surgical instruments for plastic surgeons, announced today that management is refocusing the company’s principal emphasis on the bariatric treatment market. The decision comes on the heels of recent breakthrough milestones from the company’s research development of their patented minimally invasive method and device for treating endoscopic removal of visceral or better known as “belly fat.” The company expects a full go-to-market rollout within the next 12 months to begin clinical testing of Endoscopic Visceral Lipectomy (“EVL”) as a new treatment for obesity, metabolic syndrome and type 2 Diabetes mellitus to service the $2 trillion marketplace.

BioSculpture Technology has obtained three method and device patents for the minimally invasive procedure of Endoscopic Visceral Lipectomy to assess which of that “belly” fat is most noxious, and remove it and has numerous additional patents pending. Unlike all other bariatric interventional alternatives, the results of EVL are expected to be permanent and not require cutting into the bowel or stomach, rearranging the body’s alimentary plumbing, leaving behind a foreign body, or have any danger of creating malabsorption syndromes and nutritional cripples. Rather than starving this fat by the current bariatric surgical and device alternatives, this disruptive technology should make it possible to permanently remove this metabolically noxious visceral or “belly” fat in the mesentery in a safe and control fashion hitherto not possible.

Robert L. Cucin M.D., CEO of BioSculpture Technology, commented, Although safety and efficacy studies have yet to be performed and regulatory approvals obtained, we believe EVL has the potential of doing for obesity treatment what LASIK did for vision correction. Bringing this highly disruptive EVL technology to market so the millions of patients affected by obesity can benefit is BioSculpture Technology’s highest priority.

About BioSculpture Technology, Inc.

BioSculpture Technology, Inc. (“BST”) manufactures medical devices and procedures for handling adipose tissue targeting the liposuction and body sculpting market; the bariatric treatment market; and the fat autograft and adipocyte-derived stem cell processing markets. The Company specializes in the advanced power assisted twin-cannula tissue aspiration systems that allow controlled and effortless tissue removal. These tube-within-a-tube, Twin Cannula Assisted Liposuction or “TCAL” systems offer significant advantages in control and reduced effort over less sophisticated methods, even single cannula Power Assisted Liposuction or “PAL” systems, a technology BST’s founder also invented earlier and licensed out to Mentor.

TCAL can be safely adapted for other specialties and uses for which manual and other powered systems would pose a hazard. BST believes endoscopic and laparoscopic applications in particular have high potential for generating significant future revenue streams.

Gender Equality Update – Angelica Fuentes and U.N. Girl Up Push Legislation in Guatemala to Change Legal Age of Marriage From 14 to 18 Years Old

Implementation of Legislation for the Girl Up in Guatemala Initiative Moving Legal Age of Marriage to Protect Approx. 3.5 Million Children Over the Next 4 Years

EL PASO, TX–(Oct 3, 2016) – Angélica Fuentes Foundation (FAF), a private institution committed to the overall empowerment of women of all ages through the strengthening and financing of organizations that support women’s advancement, proudly announces the social and youth initiative that caused Guatemala Legislation to raise the legal marriage age from 14 to 18 years passed in January 2016 is one of the greatest milestones in Latin American youth rights in decades. The joint effort between the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up and Angélica Fuentes Foundation (FAF) will have an immediate impact by protecting 3.5 million children (approx. 22% of current country population).

The financial structuring and funding of the Girl Up campaign in Guatemala have been led by Angelica Fuentes Foundation, which invested $1.5 Million representing 60% of the total project investment aimed at strengthening women’s empowerment and gender equality in this country. The changes to Guatemala’s law created a wide field of opportunity to generate favorable living conditions to Guatemalan women, largely indigenous, by inhibiting the practice of forcing girls to marry at an early age, a situation that forces them to not complete their education and constrains opportunities to reach their full potential. The Girl Up campaign also had the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as coordinating body and NGO Let Girls Lead.

Angelica Fuentes, Founder of the Angelica Fuentes Foundation, commented, “This is a huge win for the gender equality movement and this legal reform represents a major advancement in the efforts of protecting our youth by given them a chance to grow up and develop on their own. I am very motivated by this progress and now we are looking at other surrounding countries to follow suit. It should be our most important mission to protect our youth — this legislation alone will have a trickle-down effect protecting and preserving over approx. 40% of the country’s population which are currently under the age of 18 years old.”

“The support of the Angelica Fuentes Foundation has been instrumental in pursuing the objectives of Girl Up and its partners. This historic change in Guatemala sends a message to everyone regarding the importance to guarantee the right for education of all girls and women, to have the freedom to decide for themselves and to have opportunities for a better future,” said Melissa Hillebrenner Kilby, Director of Girl Up at the United Nations Foundation Initiative.

About Angélica Fuentes Foundation
Angélica Fuentes Foundation believes that women empowerment and gender equality are some of the most efficient tools for social, economic and environmental development. They envision a world in which women and men cooperate and work together in a context of equanimity and equality of opportunities, where women are able to fully participate in all the areas of human endeavor, for their personal wellbeing as well as that of the communities they live in.

Angélica Fuentes Foundation’s goal is to promote and encourage gender equality and women empowerment in Latin America as one of the most efficient tools for economic, social and environmental development in the region.

About Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) On 1 January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — adopted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN Summit — officially came into force.
