This phone is going through certification in Asia, and is expected to first launch in Q4 of 2014, in Asia. It will be available to 550 million subscribers initially, and then go to carriers in the US late Q4 early Q1. It truly will be the must have phone for 2015. People will be able to watch video and play games with studio audio wherever they want. “The market share for this device is going to have a demand like the iPhone did when it first came on to the market. We see millions and millions of units going out on the first launch.”

MAX-D is now able to deliver an audio experience one would normally have to ship a file 10 to 20 times higher in data content to have the experience. They are now seeing traction with major streaming services. On top of that — MAX-D debuted to the world at CES and proved to the world that you can now truly have an audio upgrade in your car that is not hardware based that gives consumers the experience that you would normally pay thousands of dollars for.

“MAX-D is to Audio what HD is to Video.” But how can people experience it? There are several ways, with the Android phone to download the mobile HD app, such as Google-ing play and search for “Spins HD.” It will play all mp3 music on your device. Another way you can do it is by going to maxsound.com, which can see all demos there. This is a company, which continues to grow; soon there will be an app for the upcoming iPhone as well!

Several different entities have shown interest in MAX-D. The movie industry is poised and ready in the post-reduction area to use MAX-D boxes for films, and is hoping to get those deployed in the near future.

The technology was invented by Lloyd Trammel, and he is a partner in the company. He started developing this product about 16 years ago when he noticed there was degradation in audio quality, as the mp3 became the delivery of choice. Mr. Trammell designed one of the first working surround sound processors, which was sold to Hughes Aircraft and was later spun off to become SRS. He was voted as one of the top sound designers in the world.

On May 29th Max Sound was entered into a licensing agreement with VSL, which gives them the rights to represent an amazing compression technology that is supported by patents. VSL allows 100% of data and ship in 3% of the file size. It’s about taking the highest quality of data, and being able to deliver it in a smaller size, but at the end deliver 100%.
