JULIAN HERBSTEIN, an Advisor of 1800pr, brings over 20 years of experience in finance, management and business development.  He has co-founded several companies, including Lendara (fintech), Lotus Capital (small-cap lending), CGN Beijing (private equity), and govWorks (e-government).  Previously, Mr. Herbstein was a principal in the private equity group of Soros Fund Management where he evaluated investment opportunities worldwide.  He had earlier led the turnaround of a Soros portfolio company in Australia, increasing EBITDA by over 70% and generating the best call wait times in the industry. Mr. Herbstein began his career in the M&A group at Lazard Frères in New York and later joined News Corp’s Sky TV platform where he led the effort to deploy satellite television in Argentina and Chile.  He speaks five languages (going on six) and is an avid adventure traveler (over 70 countries).
