About FreeRange Concepts
FreeRange Concepts is a Dallas-based restaurant development firm with a focus on creating innovative restaurant concepts and was established in 2011 by co-owners Kyle Noonan and Josh Sepkowitz. The company has achieved unprecedented success and growth. In its first 18 months alone, the company grew from two to almost 600 employees. To date, FreeRange Concepts has developed and launched three thriving restaurant concepts in Dallas with multiple new locations and a fourth concept restaurant brand set to launch in 2015. The company also developed and produced ‘Local Fare’, a TV show highlighting the local Dallas food culture, for CBS KTXA-Channel 21.

FreeRange Concepts’ first venture was Bowl & Barrel in 2012. The restaurant features a boutique bowling alley with a full-service modern American tavern, a European beer hall and house-made specialties created by Chef Sharon Hage of the famed York Street. Bowl & Barrel opened to over 1600 patrons and was profitable on its first day.

In 2013 Mutts Canine Cantina, a restaurant and off-leash dog park, opened to rave reviews from a welcoming community of dog lovers. The restaurant provides a place where people and pets can gather with great food and drinks, play in the off-leash dog park, or relax in the beer garden.

In the Fall of 2013, FreeRange Concepts ventured into the world of television with its restaurant review show ‘Local Fare’ that aired for 52 weeks on CBS television station KTXA Channel 21 for a year. The show put a spotlight on the local Dallas food culture with each episode featuring three ordinary people from the Dallas area as guest restaurant critics. ‘Local Fare’ enjoyed a following of close to 100,000 local viewers.

Partnering with Grammy-nominated country music artist Pat Green in 2013, FreeRange Concepts created its most recent and successful concept with The Rustic, a full-service restaurant and outdoor music venue under the Texas stars. Its menu features fresh local produce and ingredients and boasts 40 beers on tap including the largest selection of Texas craft beer around. The Rustic opened to an astonishingly large crowd of about 3000 patrons who showed up for the opening. In 2014, its first full year in business, The Rustic had the highest sales for a restaurant-bar in the state of Texas.

In 2015 FreeRange Concepts is slated to open its newest restaurant concept The General Public which will be a lively neighborhood tavern devoted to wholesome food and rewriting familiar recipes using fresh ingredients from local farmers and suppliers. FreeRange Concepts is also expanding into both San Antonio and Houston with new locations of Bowl & Barrel set to open in the spring of 2015 and new locations of The Rustic also opening later in the year in both cities.
